Robert Pattinson trying to shed vampire connotations

With the release of Robert Pattinson’s new movie, Water For Elephants, can he finally break away from just being a Twilight star? That remains to be seen.
Pattinson has had several other movies hit the box office over the past few years since his debut as Edward Cullen in Twilight. Once the first movie premiered, Pattinson was instantly cast into stardom and pre-teens everywhere were in love with his vampire character.
The question is how long will it take for him to shed his vampire character and be able to be seen as a serious actor.
For now Robert is still known as that shiny vampire and Fox, smartly, realized this when they were advertising for their new movie, Water For Elephants. According to the http://www.hollywoodreporter.com/news/robert-pattinson-will-he-still-181086>Hollywood Reporter, Fox targeted his vampire alter-ego to help boost ticket sales on opening weekend.
Fox collaborated with a popular online Twilight website to track Pattinson’s every move and Fox strategically placed members of TwilightMOMS on the red carpet to help draw in all the Twilight fans.
As Reuters reports, Water For Elephants could have done a few things better to help make the movie a better adaption. Instead of focusing on bringing in teenage girls, they could have made the film more in-depth and riveting.
Reports say Witherspoon denied wearing certain outfits that would have made her much more sexy. The film lacks the raw emotion of the time period it is supposed to have portrayed.
All in all, it doesn’t look like Pattinson will be shedding his vampire legacy anytime soon. He has been featured in many movies, but it will take something special to really stick like Twilight has.

Jeremy Renner Taking Over Matt Damon in Bourne Series!

Matt Damon vs Jeremy Tokin
Compromise, they say, is where no one gets exactly what they want. Insiders tell Vulture that’s what just occurred with The Bourne Legacy. Yesterday, we reported that director Tony Gilroy was strenuously arguing for casting Joel Edgerton, but that Universal was decidedly less sure about the Animal Kingdom actor. And today, news came that Universal had formally offered the role to Jeremy Renner. What happened?

Insiders tell Vulture that in the end, Renner emerged as the de facto choice, rather than either director Gilroy or the studio’s first choice for the leading role: Gilroy had wanted to cast a lesser-known actor whose global fame wouldn’t “pull focus” from the central character, and that Edgerton, 36, fit the bill. Universal, however, wanted to go younger and cooler — Garrett Hedlund, 26, and Taylor Kitsch, 30, were names seriously discussed by Universal, we’re told — or preferably, with an actor with significant star wattage, such as Shia LaBeouf, 26, or even Colin Farrell, 34.

But the problem with actors who’ve already “arrived” is that neither they nor their agents want to screen test, fearing they’ll have to audition for every role going forward. LaBeouf, for example, declined to do a formal screen test that Gilroy insisted on for everyone interested in the project. Meanwhile, hot young actors like Kitsch were either already committed to other projects — he’s starring in Oliver Stone’s adaptation of Don Winslow’s novel Savages, coincidentally also at Universal — or simply didn’t pass muster with Gilroy.

The loudly ticking clock on the rights to make any further Bourne movies granted by the Ludlum estate meant that Universal didn't have the luxury of waiting around for the perfect, unanimous choice. In the end, Gilroy buckled on Edgerton. The resulting compromise was to offer the part to the 40-year-old Renner, who appears — less-than-ideally — in Paramount Pictures' rival Mission: Impossible spy franchise this Christmas. Then again, the guy has two Oscar nominations and is an amazingly gifted actor; if this is what the last resort looks like, one kind of wishes worse would come to worst more often in Hollywood.

Well, they are and the four brief small screen adverts that have hit the web made us laugh more than the entire two-and-a-half minute trailer. Instead of seeming like simply a Thai transplanted “The Hangover” (okay, maybe it does still sort of feel like that) there are pretty decent laughs, most from Ed Helms who places great gravity on orange juice and Zach Galifianakis who can make the words “Raleigh-Durham” hilarious.

While the terrible first trailer for “The Hangover Part II” underlined in thick black Sharpie how similar the premise was for the sequel to the original—to the point of making it seem like a half-baked, cash-in knock-off—how weird is it that the TV spots are beginning to restore our faith a bit?

UNDERWORLD 4: New Dawn Confirmed

There have been rumors that Kate Beckinsale and Wiseman having a busy scheduled prompted Lakeshore Entertainment to begin production on Underworld 3:Rise of the Lycans, an upcoming prequel to the series. Now, Lakeshore's head boss has confirmed the rumors to Collider, saying that the 4th film will be the next sequel in the group focusing on continuing the story of Beckinsale and Speedman's story.
"It's a theatrical release definitely," Rosenberg tells the site. "I feel great about that. I think it's the strongest story that we've put together of the three. I think it's really terrific. I think it leads to a 4th. When we did the 1st 'Underworld,' we imagined three - the 1st one, a sequel and then a prequel. The 3rd is a prequel, so the 4th would carry on where Kate and Scott Speedman left off after 2, so I think this is going to be terrific really this one." As for the prequel's storyline: "This is how they meet and Michael Sheen becomes the leader of the werewolves. This is told from the werewolf's
